The new domestic terminal has innovative features to reduce energy consumption, particularly the use of natural light and a façade providing shade during summers. The terminal adds substantial domestic capacity for Virgin Australia’s operation out of Perth, relieving the pressure on the existing domestic Terminals 3 and 4 created by the rapid growth in passenger traffic.
